Where to go for a tourist in Yerevan?

On a warm day, it is pleasant to walk around the city center and in the picturesque surroundings. The eye pleases nature and architecture, art monuments and numerous restaurants, as well as the best casinos in Armenia.

The capital center is small, so you can get around it and see all the sights within one or two days. The walk is worth starting from the central square of Yerevan – The Square of Republic. Five main buildings of pink and white tuff surround the square: Government House, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Museum of History and National Gallery, Central Post Office of Armenia, as well as "Marriott" Hotel. Singing fountains attract many residents and guests of the capital with their beauty and originality. Not far from The Square of Republic is the newly built, the largest pedestrian avenue of Yerevan - Severny Prospekt.

Most prospect stores, cafes and restaurants are concentrated on Severny Prospekt. Directly from Severny Prospekt we go to another large Yerevan's square - The Square of Freedom, on which the Armenian Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Spendiarov is located. The theater was built in the 30s of the last century by the famous architect Tamanyan. There are also beloved by many "Swan Lake", cafes, restaurants.

In the central city part is the Cascade architectural complex. The complex consists of 5 open terraces. You can climb to each next level both on the steps (there are only 740 of them) and on the escalator. An amazing view of the whole city rises from the upper terrace. The complex has a Gafeschyan art museum.
